LIFTING HANDS AROUND THE WORLD

Humanitarian aid works best when it’s responsive and adaptable. Whether we’re navigating the complexities of a conflict zone or supporting families as they resettle in new places, we always listen first, then act to meet the unique needs of the people we serve.

As basic infrastructure crumbles, millions of people are left without clean water, healthcare, or shelter. Deadly outbreaks of diseases like cholera and dengue fever have rapidly spread, further endangering already vulnerable and injured people.

We are delivering essential items such as food, medicine, and hygiene supplies to families in dire need. These efforts bring dignity and relief to people caught in the crossfire.

In Uganda’s isolated Kiryandongo refugee camp, newly arriving Sudanese children face overcrowded schools and limited supplies. Alongside our local partner, Giving Refugees Hope International, we distributed shoes and school supplies to 600 children, helping them continue their education.

We also returned to Kiryandongo with a goat distribution for 100 families to restore livelihoods and create income opportunities.

In partnership with Tafawol, we empowered 40 Sudanese refugees—particularly women—with the business training, resources, and microgrants to start their own small businesses and fuel their new journeys in Cairo.

No two crises are the same, which is why we don’t use one-size-fits-all solutions. As a nimble, global team, we can move quickly to meet the needs that larger organizations often miss. From providing emergency supplies in the immediate wake of a natural disaster to building long-term Community Centers that offer education and psychological support, LHI is committed to sticking with people as long as we’re needed.

Since 2016, your support has allowed us to scale from a one-woman run organization into a global operation.
